Welcome to Eagle Pride Martial Arts, a family-friendly, self-defense Karate school in Columbus. Our school balances energy and serious traditional martial arts training within an supportive environment. Whether you are training for self-defense, fitness, or competition, everyone is part of our family. We are a home for kids to thrive and build lifelong positive traits, such as confidence, discipline, and respect. Adults can also come in to work on their health and fitness and prepare to compete. There is something for everyone at Eagle Pride Martial Arts!
Our School
Here, everyone is a part of the family! Students can come in with whatever goals they have and see steady improvement alongside their peers. They receive personalized guidance from passionate instructors who help them progress at their own pace. Our team teaches in an adaptive way, blending traditional Karate fundamentals with real-world self-defense techniques. This allows students to have fun while building a well-rounded skill set. Beyond the mat, our team is just as strong. We gather together often for promotions, competitions, community events, and family-oriented gatherings to celebrate progress. This is more than a school – we are a family!
Our History
Eagle Pride Martial Arts was founded by Lucien Longlais through his passion for sharing Karate’s life-changing benefits with others. With years of experience in Karate and related disciplines, he has experienced firsthand the changes training can provide. That is reflected in the name itself. “Eagle Pride” represents soaring confidence, pride in achievements, and strong community spirit. We have quickly evolved into a family Karate school with growing student success stories. As we continue to grow our community, we strive to build stronger individuals and families through training.

Everything we have built at Eagle Pride Martial Arts is centered around providing positivity and growth for our students. The culture we’ve built has created an atmosphere where anyone can come in and train. Families, high-level competitors, and hobbyists can train and become the best version of themselves!
Our instructors have years of experience they bring to class, including Hall of Fame recognition. Their diverse martial arts background allows each student to have someone who understands their journey in Karate.
Our kids Karate training centers around developing the future generation as people more than athletes. The confidence, discipline, respect, compassion, and creativity they receive will set them up for success during training, school, and at home.
This is a true family atmosphere. We make sure all our students know they have someone to lean on and a place to call home away from home.
Self-defense is our primary focus at Eagle Pride Martial Arts. Our training revolves around improving your technical Karate skills, which in turn give you the confidence to keep yourself safe.
This is a welcoming space to walk into. You don’t need to fear walking into our doors as a newcomer. Kids, adults, beginners, hobbyists, and competitors are all welcomed to join us and find the best path for their journey.
All of our students are treated with the same respect and attention. It doesn’t matter if you are a newcomer or a competitor – we are here for you!
